Private photography lessons tailored to your individual interests and goals. Prior to tutoring, based on our conversation I will customize instructions and agenda to fit your requests and schedule.

Tuition - $220 (4 three hour sessions, 12 hrs total)
Who might be interested: Those who have a digital camera and never switched it from AUTO mode • Those who want to shoot with more freedom using manual settings of the camera • Those who seek complete control of the camera using it to its fullest potential.
Workshop: The class meets once a week. First, second and fourth sessions are in a class setting and the third session is a field trip. This workshop will teach you the basics of digital photography. Through hands-on instruction, you will learn your camera’s functions, exposure, the difference between aperture and shutter speed, selecting ISO, depth of field, compensation, and more. You will learn how to avoid common mistakes through discussion and professional critique. After completion of the workshop you will better understand your equipment and be able to take the photographs you desire with more confidence. SLR or point-and-shoot camera with manual capabilities is required.

Digital workflow is the MOST IMPORTANT topic to know after learning to use your camera. Who might be interested: Those who want to understand and learn the right way of organizing their photography work from A to Z • Those who fear loosing their priceless photos and want to learn how to archive them with confidence.
Workshop: In a single three-hour session you will learn all components of the workflow: photographing, transferring, labeling, searching, converting, editing, outputting and archiving. We will discuss the equipment, software, working color spaces and understand RAW, DNG and other file formats. Bring your laptop.

Who might be interested: Those who want to advance their photography workflow using one of the industry's leading software • Those hobby and professional photographers who want to become better organized and more productive.
Workshop: The class meets once a week. You will learn all seven components of the Lightroom in detail. Through hands-on and visual instruction, you will be able to organize your photo files, collections; select, label, keyword and search your images. You will then learn to fine-tune and correct your photos making them ready for print, as well as create slide shows or web gallery presentations of your work and publish your own book on Blurb. Bring your laptop.

Who might be interested: Those who want to further advance their photo editing skills and techniques using this very popular software • Those who want to learn to manipulate the images and become digitally creative • Those who want to learn basic retouching techniques.
Workshop: The class meets once a week. You will learn Photoshop and Bridge interface. Through hands-on and visual instruction, we will go over Photoshop’s most important functions specific to photography: from removing dust spots on your images to working with layers, and basic retouching and editing techniques. Bring your laptop.

Who might be interested: Those who would like to take successful portraits or want to further advance their skills • Those who want to learn about taking successful headshots and learn the business traits.
Workshop: The class meets once a week. You will learn about two different and yet equally effective ways to light your portrait subjects: natural light and studio lighting. We will setup for a portrait session and learn to find the lighting that compliments your subject the best. Last but not least, find out how to work with your portrait subject from building rapport to posing. Bring your camera.

Who might be interested: Those who want to learn to take stunning wildlife and nature photos •Those who want to find out more about techniques and equipment specific to this type of photography.
Workshop: The class meets once a week. First and third sessions are in a class setting and the second session is a field trip. Through hands-on instruction, you will learn how to use your camera in a nature environment: from setting the depth of field and correct exposure to figuring ISO and composition. You will find out what essential equipment is needed for successful wildlife photography and how to use it. We will also discuss the ethict of whildlife photography. Bring your laptop and camera. Tripod is recommended for the field trip.

Who might be interested: Those who want to learn to take breathtaking landscape photos • Those who want to learn techniques and use of the right equipment.
Workshop: The class meets once a week. First and third sessions are in a class setting and the second session is a field trip. Through hands-on instruction, you will learn how to use your camera in regard to landscape: from setting the depth of field and correct exposure to composition. You will find out about filters, a necessary component for successful landscape photography and how to use them. Bring your laptop and camera. Tripod is recommended for the field trip.

Who might be interested: Those who want to learn simple make-up techniques for a successful and flattering portrait.
Workshop: You will learn basic and corrective make-up application for headshots, portraits and fashion. Learn to combine make-up and digital retouching for excellent final results. You will receive step-by-step instructions on how to use make-up during the session. Materials are provided. Bring your laptop.
